PARENTS MAKE BETTER SCHOOLS

Parent volunteers perform dozens of jobs that benefit our school community. Volunteers produce our newsletters, run fundraisers, organize student events, organize community events, organize the 8th grade celebration, host our Teacher Appreciation Luncheons, and much more.

What you can do to help 

Let us know where and when you'd like to help. Volunteer for one hour, one day, or whatever works for your family. Check the job categories that interest you, and we will send an email when volunteer opportunities arise. If it's hard to plan ahead, check the MHMS PTSA Scoop e-newsletter for last-minute volunteer opportunities. 
  • Hospitality - help set up, provide food, or clean up for Teacher/Staff breakfast and luncheons
  • Dances - help plan, set up, contribute food or chaperone student dances 
  • Drive for Schools - help with DFS organization and "treats" for students
  • Yearbook - help take photos of school events for yearbook, help distribute/sell books
  • 8th Grade Activities - help plan/decorate/chaperone 8th grade celebration. 
  • Lunchtime Ball Shed - help run ball shed for students to enjoy at lunchtimes 
  • Fun Run - help organize, help tally laps, bring snacks and cheer on students
